Hybrid work.We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced QA Engineer with a focus on automation to join our team. As a QA Engineer, you will play a key role in the development and delivery of our mobile applications on Android and iOS platforms. You will be responsible for developing and executing automated tests to ensure the functionality, performance, and stability of our apps. Our apps are a part of our effort to provide a premium home security platform for the customers.Some of our testing is done in our lab with real alarm systems. Most of the automated testing is done on software emulated alarm systems. The ideal candidate can participate in maintaining our test lab and have the capacity to maintain and develop new functionality on our alarm system emulators. We strive to have a high coverage of automated tests; some level of manual testing related to releases must however be expected.This is a permanent, full-time position reporting to the Engineering Manager.Job responsibilities:Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts for Android and iOS applications.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and designers, to understand requirements and provide input on testability and quality.Identify, document, and track bugs, ensuring comprehensive test coverage and effective bug resolution.Perform regression testing to ensure existing functionality remains intact across releases.Continuously improve the QA process by suggesting new tools, techniques, and best practices.Conduct performance and scalability testing to ensure optimal app performance on various devices and operating systems.Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in mobile QA and automation.Who are you?You must have:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.3+ years of experience in QA engineering, with a focus on automation for mobile applications.Proficiency in one or more of the major automation tools, i.e., Selenium, Specflow, Appium, Cypress, Robot, Jest, Puppeteer with a focus on mobile applications.Solid understanding of software testing methodologies, including unit, integration, system, and regression testing.Experience with CI/CD tools and version control systems like Git and test platforms like Browserstack.Practical Agile experience.Excellent verbal and written English skills (our company language is English).A valid work permit in the EU.Additionally, the following is nice to have (but not essential):Development skills in .Net and integration/rest API testing.
