Based within the Service Area Network Design and Optimization (SA NDO), Strategic Competence Unit (SCU) is a highly qualified global service organisation with teams located in multiple locations.
You will be working with ground-breaking solutions and technology (e.g.
5G, RAN Virtualisation, ML/AI, Critical IoT, VoLTE/NR, Network Slicing and vDU / vCU Connectivity).
You can expect challenging projects with many diverse global customers.
In this role, you will be a specialist and recognised expert in the field of Network Design and Optimisation, where no two projects are the same.
You are expected to contribute by working in an exciting and dynamic multicultural and global environment for Network Design and Optimisation Services.
Activities will include both Pre and Post Sales engagements and involvement in enhancing and developing our Service Portfolio.

Activities within the role include:
Participation in presales and delivery of services in the area of Network Design and Optimisation (NDO) with focus towards RAN Transport and ConnectivityProviding Network Connectivity Solutions for the latest technologies available in the Radio Access Network (RAN) space taking End-2-End into considerationLeading discussion and activities with our Global Customer Base (both Technical and C level Senior Management) by understanding their business needs and requirementsDeveloping and presenting Solutions that meet and exceed our customers' expectationsDesigning solutions that are scalable, robust and efficient whilst fulfilling operators' technical and business requirementsActively participating in knowledge transfer and experience sharingSupporting product and delivery teams ensuring our solutions are developed and deployed to meet objectivesProviding innovative ideas and suggestions to Product Management to further improve/add/modify our NDO service portfolio and technology suiteEngaging business partners in understanding potential technologies capabilitiesManaging customer expectations and fulfilment of customer solutions within agreed time, scope and costWorking to strict time schedules

Competence Requirements Master (or Bachelor) Degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Physics or similarMinimum of 14 years relevant experience in ICT Industry with experience in both service delivery and pre-salesIn-depth knowledge and expertise in the following areas:RAN IP Transport (RAN IP Connectivity) for 2G, 3G, 4G and 5G network scenarios including Design of Ericsson Baseband EquipmentE2E Quality of Service (QoS) Solutions and DesignIP Security (IPSec) Solutions and Designs in RAN EnvironmentIP MPLS, Ericsson Router 6000 Solutions and DesignsRAN Synchronisation Solutions and DesignsFront-Haul and Back-Haul Solutions and DesignsNetwork Sharing Solutions and Designs (MO-RAN / MO-CN)End to End knowledge of services, covering RAN, Transport and Packet Core domainsAbility to understand customer business objectives and link them to improvements in Network Performance and End User Experience as well as communicate, present and influence the C-Level (CTO, CEO) by knowing the impact of any action/service to their businessKnowledge of Virtualisation Platforms (e.g.
Red Hat) and Container Orchestration Systems (e.g.
Kubernetes) will be an added advantageExperience from Microwave (Short-haul / Long-haul) and Optical (DWDM) Solutions will be an added advantage Additional Requirements:
