Applications are invited by the University of Alicante President for eight open-ended contractual positions of assistant researcher to collaborate with the funded line of research "Big Data, Data Space, Artificial Intelligence and Health". Reference: I-PI 138-24
Project TSI-(phone hidden)-6 funded by the Spanish Secretariat for Digitisation and Artificial Intelligence and by the European Union-Next GenerationEU/PRTR.
Under the Subprogramme for Supporting the Creation of New Research Chairs in AI, included in the Decision of 25 November 2022, which approves the regulatory basis and issues a call for applications to the funding programme for the creation of university-business research chairs (ENIA research chairs), aimed at promoting AI research and development, knowledge dissemination and training within the framework of the European Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan.
Job DetailsNumber of job vacancies: eight.Job position: assistant researcher.Funded line of research: "Big Data, Data Space, Artificial Intelligence and Health".Working hours: 37.5 hours/week in morning/afternoon sessions.Remuneration: €1,347.86 gross/monthly (plus extra payments in accordance with current regulations).In accordance with the provisions of the agreement of the Governing Council of 27 January 2022, it is hereby stated that there is no under-representation of either gender in the category of assistant researcher.

Experience and training related to:Programming languages for AI and big data: Scala, Python and SQL.Libraries for developing AI algorithms: SparkSQL, NumPy, Pandas, Matplotlib, scikit-learn, TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch.Development and implementation of classical machine learning and AI algorithms (KNN, decision trees, SVM, etc.) and neural network- and deep learning-based algorithms.Language: English. Only levels higher than that required in the fourth section of the call will be considered.Qualification: Official Master's degrees in Computer Engineering, in Artificial Intelligence, in Data Science, in Development of Web Applications and Services or in Software Development for Mobile Devices (Spanish MECES level 3 or EQF level 7), or any other official Master's degree with equivalent content.Requirements for ApplicantsApplicants must:
Hold or be in the process of obtaining an undergraduate degree in Computer Engineering, Multimedia Engineering, Robotics Engineering, Artificial Intelligence Engineering, Mathematics or Physics (Spanish MECES level 2 or EQF level 6) plus an official Master's degree in the aforementioned fields.Have a B2 level of English.Be a Spanish national or meet the legal residency requirements in Spain.Be at least 16 years of age and not exceed the maximum compulsory retirement age.Possess the physical and mental capacities necessary for the performance of the corresponding functions or tasks.Not have been dismissed by disciplinary proceedings from public service or be disqualified from public employment.Full terms and conditions of this call can be found at the following link (IN SPANISH): [Link]
