The Role
We are looking for a Release Engineer to manage and lead the EMEA platform releases, working alongside other business units and being the point person for discussion regarding releases of the platform.
This role will work and be a key part of the team, working with peer release engineers, product owners, and product managers across multiple regions, facilitating and coordinating modern, iterative, agile approaches to software delivery.
What You'll Do Participate in daily meetings and drive prioritization with the squads.Be the SME for the product teams regarding releases.Continually work towards making improvements in the release process.Assist in writing detailed release notes and platform architecture diagrams.Manage and facilitate Go/No-Go meetings.Manage risks and resolve issues that affect release scope, schedule, and quality.Write acceptance criteria and tests for acceptance.Communicate all key project plans, commitments, and changes including requirements, QA plans, schedule, and scope changes.Display thought leadership, drive process, and support work/life balance initiatives.Understand CI/CD processes, AWS, Azure, Kubernetes, and Docker.Collaborate with business, technical, and creative partners to ensure timely delivery of capabilities launch readiness, communications, and training.Embrace change and maintain a constant appetite to learn.Bring everyone in the team together and aligned using clear communication and strong structured thinking.Maintain a meticulous eye for detail in all aspects of development, planning, and estimation.What You'll Bring Experience in managing multi-skilled delivery teams.Experienced in SAFe or Scrum at Scale.Excellent written and verbal communication (English).Good stakeholder management, strong communicator at all development levels through to executive level.Customer-facing and commercially orientated.Recognize inefficiency and have the drive to recommend/implement improvements.Excellent organization and ability to prioritize time.Passion for Delivery.Adaptable and flexible to meet workload demands.Demonstrated proactivity in capitalizing on opportunities and resolving issues.Tact and diplomacy when dealing with conflict.Experience managing Third Party Suppliers.Understanding of SaaS solutions.Gain a detailed understanding of the products within the region.Build relationships at all levels of the organization, gaining the respect of colleagues to establish yourself as the go-to delivery expert.Ensure that all high-value features are prioritized and scheduled with the development team.Work with Product Owners across borders to establish standard and accepted ways of working within the Product Delivery teams.Demonstrable project delivery experience.It is impossible to list every requirement for, or responsibility of, any position.
