We're now preparing to launch Bigdata.com, a next-generation platform aimed at transforming financial decision-making.What are we looking for?You are a seasoned Quality Assurance Automation Engineer with an interest in the Cloud. You have previously been involved in designing and developing test strategies and test cases. Furthermore, you have all the technical skills for implementing and maintaining automated tests, a proven track record in software automation projects, and the ability to understand complex software solutions. You have experience in all phases of the software development life cycle, from requirements gathering, designing CI/CD pipelines, integration testing, monitoring, and supporting production systems.The ability to communicate effectively in English, both in writing and verbally, is a must. Knowledge of Spanish is not a business requirement. European Union's legal working status is required.How will you do it?First month:The onboarding process starts. You will have scheduled meetings with the main stakeholders of the different teams to get an overall understanding of all company products, specifically focused on the projects you will be working on. You will start participating in the scrum ceremonies and also reviewing the QA processes and the stack of tools.After 3 months:You will start contributing to the existing test automation strategy and collaborating in the QA tasks on a daily basis. With an overall view of the products, you will be able to propose new initiatives and new testing strategies and start working on them.6 months in:You will be fully aware of all the company products and the main testing frameworks in place, and you will have the know-how to work with them. You will become a key member of the team, contributing successfully to the different development phases. You will create comprehensive test automation suites, frameworks, validation jobs, and reports on a daily basis.Requirements:Strong experience in test automation frameworks. Experience in testing back-end interfaces.Exposure to the whole phase of the Software Development Life Cycle from requirements gathering, designing test plans, integration testing, functional and regression testing, debugging issues, and supporting production.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.Ability to set priorities and multitask in a fast-paced environment.Proficiency in Python and knowledge of scripting languages.Database knowledge: SQL, NoSQL.Necessary skills to perform root cause analysis when defects occur.Nice to have:Experience working at least 3 years as a QA Engineer. Three years of experience in software engineering.Experience with AWS or with a cloud service provider.Experience with querying document-oriented search databases like Elasticsearch.Familiarity with creating microservices in the cloud using platforms like AWS.Knowledge of CI/CD orchestration tools.Understanding of performance testing and evaluation.Previous experience as a software developer or an architect.What's in it for you:You will work with the latest technologies.Our Headquarters is located in Marbella.
