This high-profile senior role will suit a commercially focused SaaS Product Manager who has driven business performance by devising appropriate international Go To Market and pricing strategies.
The Opportunity
Esko is a leading provider of packaging software, hardware, and consulting services to instantly recognizable global clients, enabling them to produce the best packaging for billions of consumers.
Based remotely in Western Europe (with 30-50% international travel including a monthly visit to Esko's HQ in Ghent) and reporting to the VP Product management, the Global SaaS Product Manager is responsible for the P&L of the flagship 'Automation Engine' product line and owns global growth, profitability, customer satisfaction and strategic product leadership.
In a dynamic and fast-paced environment, the jobholder will gather customer insights and partner with colleagues to understand unmet needs of target customers, identify new opportunities and product enhancements. You'll define and manage Business Goals linked to our Continuous Delivery process and work with Product Owners and other cross-functional stakeholders to drive the pre-release, sales enablement & product launches that excite our market and result in growth. Finally, you'll work closely with technical teams to prioritize the development projects and enhancements to drive customer adoption and business impact.
In this role, you will: Vision & Evangelizing: Create a compelling product vision. Sell and present product to internal audiences and represent the product externally at conferences, to customers, with the press and industry analysts.Roadmaps: Decide on future direction and priorities for the products. Publishing and maintaining multi-year roadmaps for products and modules.Customer Research: Research on customer and prospects. Get feedback from Sales, Support and other channels about issues and opportunities. Win/loss analysis. User experience, ways of working and behavior research.Product Performance: Review data and reports on product performance. Monitoring leading and lagging relevant KPIs (e.g. revenue, bookings, customer numbers, churn). When missing Target, partners and co-owns with Sales and/or marketing to apply PSP.Segmentation and Value Proposition: Create segmentation views through market maps and analyze and build differentiated value proposition with relevant feature set for clearly articulated target segments and personas. Developing positioning and messaging for different buyer and user profiles and against external competition.Channel Support: Deliver sales training. Attend or present at events (conferences, trade shows, webinars), user groups, sales and channel events as the product representative.Leadership: Influencing and inspiration of people. Effective communicator and motivator. Motivate and inspire product team and stakeholders.This role represents a significant opportunity to lead the global product management for one of Esko's flagship products during a period of imminent transformation (moving from client/server to the cloud/SaaS in early 2025), hence there is sizeable commercial scope to positively impact P&L.
The Ideal Candidate
- Commercially focused SaaS Product Manager who has driven business growth by devising and executing international GTM & pricing strategies (this isn't a product owner/R&D product manager role oriented towards product features etc).
- Strong verbal & written communication (fluent English / plus any additional European language is useful), cross-functional collaboration, relationship building, stakeholder management, listening, and influencing skills.
