The teams sit globally, with the bulk of their members located throughout Spain and the US.What You Will DoThe LiveOps Technical Artist Manager will lead a team to produce work at the highest level of quality and difficulty, and work closely with the team to advance that team both individually and structurally.They have a proven track record of resolving the most complex challenges in relation to content construction, pipeline management and leading edge visuals.Managing a team of Technical ArtistsDefining content aspirations for the teamImproving and evolving production and organization structuresIdentifying and selecting tools and technologies to enhance the content creation processCollaborate with other technical and aesthetic experts within the company to define clear goals for the toolset, pipeline and construction processesCollaborates with the art team on establishing shared Art best practicesParticipates in setting strategic vision for contentWorks with the other content producers to ensure proper game performance and optimizationsIdentifies and tests external 3rd party tools that would help maintain our leading edge in content constructions and visualsIdentifies and executes on the most difficult content creation problems for the projectIdentifies and executes solutions to Pipeline and technology deficiencies within the teamResearch future solutions or cutting-edge content technologiesReviews pipelines and content creation process to identify best practicesWhat We're Looking For6 or more years experience in large game studios2 or more years of team management experienceMinimum 2-year 2D / 3D art degree, architecture degree, or equivalent with excellent critique and vocabulary skills.
BFA or equivalent preferredStrong technical proficiency in understanding proprietary tools and technologyExcellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skillsFamiliarity with the majority of modern 3D software packages (Maya, Substance, zBrush)Strong understanding of the game development processStrong understanding of methods of optimizing game art assets for game engines and optimizing pipelines and processesStrong understanding of C# / Scripting Languages or similar systems requiredA strong understanding of modern 3D engines and the technology behind themSolid experience and understanding of art / animation pipelines on modern game consolesUp to date knowledge of current art techniques and development processesAbility to work well under pressure and with deadlinesDiligence with individual and team tasks, schedule and adherence to budget limitationsStrong interest in computer or video gamesStrong troubleshooting skillsPositive attitude and a desire to bring new ideas to the teamAt Scopely, we believe in creating a supportive work environment where everyone is treated with respect and inclusivity.
