Descripción We are partnering with a leading multinational pharmaceutical company based in Barcelona.
We are seeking a Global R&D Procurement Director to lead procurement strategies while managing a skilled team of seven professionals.
What your responsibilities will be: Support the definition and execution of the Procurement R&D Category Strategy (preclinical and CRO, Diagnostic and Discovery sub-categories).
Support the design and maintenance of a long-term Procurement Category strategy for country and regions aligned to overall business strategy.
Provide communication, status reporting, and issue escalation support to senior management for R&D and Clinical Projects.
Build strong relationships with the R&D leadership to ensure a comprehensive strategy is developed and executed.
Work as a strategic business partner to develop and prioritize procurement change programs and projects to enable delivery of the short- and long-term objectives.
Influence and shape Category strategies, tactics, and plans developed in conjunction with the global procurement team.
Coach team in the use of sophisticated commercial models, reports, and forecasts to challenge and strengthen decision-making processes across the business area.
Optimize key relationships across the company to take full advantage of efficiencies and leverage best practice.
Network externally to ensure remains abreast of current world-class thinking.

Requisitos: Master's degree, Professional Business Qualification, and extensive and significant track record in senior strategic Procurement.
Preferably 10 years of experience in R&D Procurement or other related experience within the pharmaceutical industry, preferably in category management, supplier management, or related area, with a focus in the preclinical and CRO management.
Strong leadership skills, including demonstrated ability to spot & develop talent, build Procurement teams and empower others to accomplish individual and organizational objectives.
Strong influencing skills, including being able to operate at Executive levels within the organization.
