.About this role: The Quantitative Research Principal is an individual contribution role with potential for a management position in the future. The selected incumbent will be part of the Quads CoE, working with quant researchers addressing cutting-edge strategic issues facing today's senior-most functional executives at leading global corporations. The role provides excellent exposure to a full range of topics related to the management of the Data & Analytics division, as well as the opportunity to apply and further develop statistical concepts. The mission of the Data & Analytics R&A practice at Gartner is to create compelling content and to provide actionable advice to Chief Data & Analytics Officers (CDAOs), their teams, and other IT roles focused on data and analytics. The team uses different research pillars (analysts and experts, peer and practitioner, as well as quantitative analytics) to deliver provocative and pragmatic research on Data Management, Analytics, and Artificial Intelligence. As part of the quantitative research team of the practice, you will help address the growing client demand for leading a world-class D&A organization, driving quantifiable business outcomes with D&A capabilities, and building a mature D&A culture. This position is for experienced researchers interested in conducting quantitative research, analysis, and reporting using proprietary benchmarking and survey data. Quantitative team members enjoy exposure to the full array of data-related work: data management and quality; benchmarking and forming surveys; quant modeling; quantitative insight generation; and some exposure to advanced data management tools and techniques focused on peeling apart ideas in search of insight.What you will do:Lead and promote best practices in design, execution, process, and delivery of diagnostic and benchmarking products.Communicate and present analytical insights to internal stakeholders and clients.Develop a First Team culture – work closely with peer managers to build trust, encourage teamwork, and identify synergies to capitalize for highest impact.Walk clients through the entire value chain system of benchmarking and diagnostic products.Build quantitative methodology proposals that use inferential Statistical/Econometric models to validate research hypotheses and create actionable insights for clients.Lead the design and creation of primary data collection instruments (surveys, web data, etc.), sampling methodologies, and quantitative models.Build research study narratives by complementing data-driven insights with industry-leading best practices sourced from clients.What you will need:MBA or master's degree or Ph.D. in Economics, Statistics, or other related fields.5-7 years of experience at a leading research, data analytics, business intelligence, or consulting firm.Demonstrated ability to teach and relay ideas, engage clients, and work in global teams
