The Fundación de Investigación Biomédica del Hospital Universitario de La Princesa announces an opening for a Senior Technician position as Laboratory Technician in the Research Unit of the Immunology Service under the direction of Dr. Noa Beatriz Martín Cófreces.
GENERAL REQUIREMENTSBe under 30 years of age on the hiring date.Hold the required degree on the hiring date with the beneficiary entity.Be unemployed until the day before being hired by the beneficiary entity.Not have any labor relation with the Foundation at the publication date of the Call in the Official Bulletin of the Community of Madrid.SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTSDegree: Senior Laboratory Technician in Clinical Diagnostic or Pathological Anatomy.EXPERIENCE: Demonstrable experience in:Techniques for extracting and isolating primary cells from peripheral blood samples and handling biological samples in level 2 containment culture facilities.Handling microtomes and cryostats, as well as basic histological and immunohistochemical techniques.Isolation of specific subcellular fractions.Immunoelectrophoresis.Operating flow cytometers and fluorescence optical microscopes.Laboratory management tasks (reagents and equipment control, patient sample and cell line registration and storage).OTHER: Experience with tumor cells, functional cellular assays (lymphocyte activation, proliferation, apoptosis), extraction, isolation, and culture of primary human lymphocyte cells, knowledge of quality systems in the laboratory, and English proficiency at intermediate or advanced levels.TASKS TO BE PERFORMEDExecution of cell and molecular biology techniques: culturing, nucleic acid extraction, and transfection.Execution of manipulation and sample generation techniques for microscopy: tissue sectioning using cryotome and cryostat, immunohistochemical and immunofluorescence staining.Use of specialized software, image analysis, and statistical result analysis with specific software.Preparation and drafting of task protocols.Supervision of protocols by microscope users.
