Job Description The Finance Lead, Innovation and Strategic Initiatives at Galderma plays a pivotal role in driving product innovation and strategic growth.
They will build robust business cases for new product innovations and track post-launch performance, lead financial evaluations for M&A, and partner with cross-functional teams to drive value creation and informed decisions.
Key Responsibilities Products Innovation Finance: Business Case Development: Model and validate business cases for product innovation, ensuring sound investment decisions.
Performance Monitoring: Create dashboards and scorecards to track financial results and key metrics like ROI and revenue growth.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with R&D, Marketing, Sales, and Operations to align financial models and track innovation projects.
Governance and Training: Maintain standardized templates, lead training sessions, and integrate business cases into financial plans.
Business Development/M&A Finance: Valuation and Modelling: Develop financial models for M&A, R&D, licensing, and divestiture decisions, including scenario analyses.
Due Diligence: Oversee financial due diligence, managing external advisors and validating assumptions.
Negotiation Support: Represent Finance in deal negotiations and collaborate on term sheets and contracts.
Post-Deal Integration: Ensure financial integration and capture value post-deal, maintaining best practices and internal benchmarks.
Skills & Qualifications Educational Background: A Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
An advanced degree (e.G., MBA, CFA) is often preferred.
M&A / Consulting Expertise: 5+ years of relevant experience in financial modeling, valuations, due diligence, and negotiations for M&A or licensing deals.
Innovation Finance Experience: Proven ability to develop and track business cases for product innovation, including post-launch performance measurement.
Industry Knowledge: Background in healthcare, pharmaceuticals, or consumer goods with understanding of market dynamics.
