We are looking for an exceptional Buyer based in Madrid.
You will have full flexibility in managing customer experience, topline performance, and profitability of your vendors, taking the relationship with them to the next level.
By scaling and automating all interactions with the vendor base, including identifying and signing up new vendors, creating items in the catalog, negotiating contracts and terms, managing promotional activities, and resolving operational issues, you will have a direct impact on the business, thus, setting zooplus apart from its competitors.
Are you ready to take on this challenge?As a Buyer you will be involved in:Autonomous product range planning and implementation including listing and delisting decisions.Planning, development, and execution of marketing promotions.Monitoring and analysis of supplier and category performance.Sales forecasting on account level.Conducting market, competition, and range analyses as well as price comparisons.Responsible for defining and executing a local brand strategy including the acquisition of new suppliers.Key contact for negotiating and specifying framework conditions and promotions with suppliers.Actively managing the relationship with internal departments like Purchasing, Sales, Supply Chain Management, and Accounting.QualificationsGraduate degree in a business-related discipline.Related work experience in FMCG or retail business as a Category Manager, Vendor Manager and/or Buyer.Excellent verbal and written English language skills.Not essential but nice to have, Dutch language skills.Ability to work independently and in a very dynamic environment.Strong analytical and communication skills (internally and externally).Experience in supplier negotiations.Distinct ability to understand and implement customer needs and market requirements.Proficient in MS-Office, especially in MS Excel and PowerPoint.Additional InformationWith more than 1,000 passionate professionals located across 10 European offices, we believe our success comes from working together and leveraging our international strengths.
