We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced QA Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and functionality of our software products by designing and executing test plans, identifying bugs, and working closely with the development team to resolve issues. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of software testing methodologies, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
What you'll doDesign and develop automated test cases for Android and web applicationsSet up and maintain testing environments using Android devkits and emulatorsExecute automated regression, functional, and performance testsVerify the functionality, usability, performance, and security of applicationsConduct compatibility testing across different browsers and devicesAnalyze test results and identify areas for improvement in the applicationCollaborate with developers to resolve issues and improve product qualityExperience in setting up and maintaining device farmsQualificationsProgramming knowledge in languages such as Python, Java, or JavaScriptExperience in test automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or TestCompleteExperience using test management (Testrails) and bug tracking tools (JIRA)Experience in Android application testing: Deep knowledge of the Android ecosystem, including different versions of the operating system and a variety of devicesMastery of automation tools: Experience with frameworks such as Appium, Espresso, or UI Automator to create and execute automated testsProgramming language knowledge: Proficiency in Kotlin for developing automated test scriptsExperience with devkits and emulators: Ability to configure and use Android SDK, emulators, and virtual devices for testingFamiliarity with CI/CD: Knowledge of continuous integration and deployment to incorporate automated tests into the development workflowDegree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or related fieldAt least 3 years of experience in software testing, with emphasis on Android applications and web applicationsEnglish, full professional proficiencyMerlyn Mind is an equal opportunity employer that is committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
