An ideal candidate would have experience working in an agile environment, with a personality that blows us away, combined with the skill set to design, create and implement test cases and quality requirements, automate testing, and drive scalability.As a QA Engineer you will play a crucial role in guaranteeing the excellence of our products by evaluating and testing them to identify and report defects, inconsistencies, and areas for improvement. You will work closely with the development and product teams to ensure that our deliverables meet the highest standards of quality and functionality.ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with developers, product managers, and other team members to understand project requirements and ensure quality throughout the development lifecycle.Coordinate releases through test planning, preparation, design, and execution tasks.Design and implement functional and nonfunctional tests that cover all possible cases.Maintain tests and ensure regression testing is performed to avoid regression issues.Assess risks from development changes accurately and reflect them in test activities.Identify, document, and report defects and issues to the development and product teams using issue tracking tools.Assist the team in other activities as the need arises (i.e., gathering requirements, designing, developing, releasing, supporting, etc.).Create and maintain clear documentation that would act as a reference for other teams, such as internal processes and product knowledge.Actively participate in process improvement initiatives, suggesting and implementing best practices for QA processes and procedures.Basic RequirementsEducational background related to Computer Science or a related field.2 years of experience as a QA Engineer.Experience testing web-based applications and APIs.Solid experience in Jira or similar issue-tracking systems.Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.Experience in writing test plans and test cases, test execution and bug reporting.Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Fluency in English with excellent reading, speaking, and writing skills.Excellent communication, self-organization, time management, and interpersonal skills.Must have a valid EU work permit.Preferred RequirementsFamiliarity with Java or other object-oriented languages.Experience scripting in Javascript or TypeScript.Familiarity in automation frameworks like Selenium, RestAssured, Cypress.Certification in software testing (e.g., ISTQB) is a plus.Why is WebCargo exactly where you want to work?Location: Barcelona, Spain… but only some of the time.
