Job Description
Drive account strategy by developing and executing an annual account plan and a 3-5 year account strategy including trends impacting the account and strategies (offensive and defensive) to grow and defend PACCOR volume and improve profitability.
Joint development of a business segment strategy for the assignment area, including market assessment, innovation roadmap and sales growth approach.
Lead the local sales team and cross-functional teams, work with internal stakeholders (supply chain, operations engineering, quality, finance plants, R&D) to deliver customer projects and manage the day-to-day functions of the account.
Serve as the internal customer advocate and drive customer satisfaction initiatives.
Conduct Commercial Analysis by supporting monthly forecasting and actual and budgetary analysis as requested.
Work with and/or lead operations and commercial finance to evaluate variances, leakage plugs, plant-specific issues to drive bottom line improvement of customer and organizational profitability.
Develop negotiation arguments and execute either independently or as a member of a team and monitor contract compliance.
Work with internal sales & finance to manage cost recovery by managing and administering energy, freight and obsolete stock management (OSM).
Support in local and international projects.
Qualifications
5-8 years of successful commercial experience, preferably in packaging, working with large, national accounts.
Past experience in R&D, Operations and/or Supply Chain an advantage.
Business acumen, communication, negotiation/selling, interpersonal and strategic planning skills.
Understands financial modelling and cost accounting.
Ability to build confidence and support of key customers.
Ability to handle pressure both internally and with the customer.
Solid technical aptitude for general plastics, resins, manufacturing processes and other competitive packaging mediums. Experience in foil, plastic sheet, barrier packaging or paper sheet would be beneficial.
Very good Spanish, French and English skills; Italian and/or German would be beneficial.
Ability to cross functionally network - external as well as internal.
