The operations manager will be responsible for the success of the operations and team.
The manager's primary role will be to provide support in various aspects of dispatching, including communicating with drivers, customers, and customs officials, as well as coordinating with other departments.
Job Responsibilities Schedule and dispatch drivers to pick up and deliver loads to and from customers.
Coordinate and modify daily routes to accommodate the needs of customers.
Monitor any sudden route changes or road construction issues and establish new routes for timely deliveries.
Assist drivers with routing directions and communicate proper execution.
Maintain high compliance with dispatch standards and operating procedures.
Communicate specific freight requirements and procedures to drivers.
Update customer web portals with up-to-date load information.
Manage paperwork and necessary documentation.
Actively participate in problem resolution with team members and different departments.
Requirements English Proficiency.
Attention to Detail is a MUST.
5-8 years of successful Operations/Loan Management experience.
Experience in the transportation/3PL industry required.
Proven leadership experience in fast-paced environments with rapidly changing priorities.
Able to plan and organize well as an individual and as a team player.
Possess high levels of energy and initiative; strong work ethic and ability to self-manage.
Must have strong communication skills over the phone and in written communications.
Possess good problem-solving skills; able to understand and meet customer needs (internal and external).
Able to work an extended schedule including weekend activities as necessary.
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel functions is required.
