Horizons is seeking a highly skilled Infrastructure Team Lead with expertise in Linux System Administration and DevOps to join our international client, an innovative Austrian-based FinTech company specializing in Big Data and Pattern Recognition.
In this pivotal role, you will oversee infrastructure operations, champion automation initiatives, and lead a talented team of engineers.
You'll ensure system stability, security, and top-tier performance while collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize infrastructure.
Reporting directly to the CEO, you'll have a direct impact on the company's tech strategy and success.
Contract Location: Permanent, Full-time.
Open to candidates based in Austria or Slovakia, ideally near Vienna or Bratislava.

Key Responsibilities:Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of Linux System Administrators and DevOps engineers, fostering professional growth and high performance.Linux System Administration: Manage installation, configuration, and maintenance of Linux-based servers (Red Hat, Ubuntu, CentOS) to ensure system reliability and peak performance.Automation DevOps: Champion DevOps best practices, utilizing tools like Ansible, Terraform, Jenkins, and Docker to automate tasks and enhance CI/CD pipelines.Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Implement scalable IaC practices for both on-premise and cloud infrastructures (AWS, Azure, GCP), driving efficiency and consistency.System Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Leverage tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and Nagios to monitor system health and swiftly address complex infrastructure challenges.Security Compliance: Maintain robust system security through effective patch management, continuous monitoring, and regular vulnerability assessments.Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with development teams to support smooth CI/CD pipelines and deployment strategies.Disaster Recovery & Backup: Design and implement comprehensive disaster recovery plans and backup strategies to safeguard critical infrastructure.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.3+ years of experience in Linux System Administration and DevOps, with 2+ years in a leadership role.Strong expertise in Linux operating systems (Red Hat, Ubuntu, CentOS) and DevOps tools like Ansible, Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes.Experience with system monitoring tools (Zabbix, Prometheus, Grafana).Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, or similar).Demonstrated leadership and project management skills.Relevant certifications (RHCE, AWS Solutions Architect, CKA) are a plus.German language skills are also a plus.Compensation & Benefits:Salary: EUR 75,000 - 80,000 (gross, yearly).Full flexibility with the option to attend the office at your convenience.Flexible working hours to support work-life balance.Opportunity to thrive in a fast-paced, innovative environment.Collaborate with international teams and stakeholders on cutting-edge projects.
