About the RoleThe main task of the General Ledger Lead is to coordinate the General Ledger functions and processes according to company policies and accounting standards to reflect a true image of the business. In addition, this role will coordinate the pool of general ledger accountants to provide service to the different markets in monthly end closing, tax obligations, internal/external audits, and compliance.
Principal Duties and ResponsibilitiesCoordinate assistance to the Country Finance leads during the month-end, year-end closings, SOX, and Audits (e.g., fixed assets, expense variance analysis, account reconciliations, Budget/forecast preparation, month-end checklists, tax returns, internal and external audits).Support Country finance lead in the accuracy of financial statements in accordance with US and local GAAP and compliance with internal policies.Standardize processes among EMEA markets to ensure effective workflows and operating procedures.Lead or participate in GL projects as they arise (ERP migrations, new tools implementation, tools improvements, etc.).Coordinate GL team including coaching, training, and ongoing performance management ensuring proper backups and resources for all countries.Education/Experience RequirementsDegree in Finance or Economics.Previous experience of 3 years in multinational companies.Strong communication and negotiation skills.Customer & results oriented.Team management.Organized.Stress resistant and hard worker.Oracle, Navision or a similar ERP, Hyperion experience.Microsoft Office Knowledge with advanced level of Excel.Fluent English & Spanish, other European languages will be a plus.What We OfferWorking at ZimVie is not just work.
