Activities Reporting to the PV Operation and Maintenance manager of TotalEnergies Renewables Ibérica ("TERIb"), the O&M Project Manager is a member of the PV Technical Asset Management ("TAM") team.
Upon hand-over by the Engineering Procurement and Construction team (if projects built by TERIb) or by the project acquisition team (if projects acquired operational), the TAM team is in charge of all technical aspects of the exploitation of the photovoltaic plants (and related infrastructures) within TERIb's scope.
The PV O&M Project Manager is responsible for coordinating and controlling the operations on the assigned portfolio of assets.
He/she takes responsibility to plan, organize, evaluate, and monitor TAM and O&M activities, whether carried out directly (by TERIb TAM resources) or through outsourcing (by external contractors and providers).
Being incorporated in the TAM team a few months before the expected start of commercial operation of the assigned projects, the O&M Project Manager will be responsible for the following activities, in coordination with other TAM team members and the relevant Asset Manager: - Support EPC Provisional Acceptance and punch-list closure processes with the TERIb EPC department.
- Define technical plans and economic budgets for site operation and maintenance activities at the assigned assets.
- Organize, supervise execution, and monitor all O&M tasks at the assigned cluster, ensuring compliance with technical KPIs and OPEX against applicable plans and budgets, and optimizing them.
- Contribute to the definition and lead the implementation of the procurement and outsourcing strategy for O&M services and materials for the assigned assets.
- Control and monitor the status of the assigned operational assets, detect technical issues, take initiative to resolve them, and monitor the resolution.
- Manage technical warranties.
- Evaluate, define, and implement the O&M procurement and outsourcing strategy for services and materials.
- Coordinate, monitor, and supervise the main contracts for technical supplies at the assigned assets (services, materials, utilities) entered by the project SPVs or by TERIb as applicable.
- Establish, develop, and maintain relationships with contractors, suppliers, and partners involved in TAM and O&M activities.
- Support other TERIb departments regarding technical and economic aspects related to O&M during modeling, estimations, contract negotiations, and internal decisions for projects in screening, development, acquisition, or construction phases.
- Collect and prepare technical documentation or information about operational aspects of the assigned projects for other departments or third parties.
- Supervise compliance of the assets with current and new technical regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate and conduct Intermediate Acceptance / Final Acceptance (or similar) processes/negotiations related to projects' operational phase with contractors.
- Communicate and coordinate with the Asset Manager, providing necessary support for budgeting, reporting, etc., on all aspects related to technical operations and performances of the assigned projects.
- Facilitate and ensure the application of the group's Health, Safety, Security, and Social responsibility policies during O&M activities.
- Participate in regular meetings and ensure the return of experience within TotalEnergies.
Context & Environment - Spain is a priority country for TotalEnergies in Europe, with a portfolio of solar projects under development in Spain amounting to more than 5 GWp, positioning the Group as a major player in the country's energy transition.
- The construction of a 50+ MWp project in the regional cluster to be assigned started in May 2024, with commercial operation expected to begin in May 2025.
More than 200 MWp of other TERIb's projects are expected to come online in the same region by 2027.
- This position is located in the Madrid office (Spain), with periodic site visits and occasional travels to other project sites as well as to other locations of TotalEnergies branches expected.
