The fundamental driver of our culture is the player-learner mindset, which we seek to inspire and nurture in every employee.About the jobThe Purchasing Specialist/Buyer (f/m/d) role within the global procurement hub team of Straumann Group, based in Madrid, is pivotal in supporting and executing operational and tactical procurement activities. This role carries significant responsibility for ensuring the quality, cost-effectiveness, timely delivery, service standards, and regulatory compliance of purchased and outsourced materials, goods, and services. The Purchasing Specialist/Buyer plays a vital role in supporting multiple Straumann Group entities and corporate functions across Europe, including the global headquarters in Basel, Switzerland.Main Tasks and Responsibilities• Purchase materials, goods, and services for Straumann Group entities and Corporate Functions. Execute operational and tactical procurement activities in accordance with the global category strategy, and in compliance with applicable policies, procedures, regulatory standards, applicable laws, ethical standards, and code of business conduct.• Increase procurement managed spend and drive savings delivery across the group by implementing cost-effective procurement practices and negotiating favourable terms with suppliers in accordance with the global category strategy.• Ensure efficient and proper execution of Requests for Quotation or Request for Proposals for non-critical, lower value items (Tail spend). • Ensure efficient creation of Purchase Orders. Drive the realization of savings, supply efficiency, quality, process improvements and track achieved results.• Manage daily requirements and understand future demands of the different corporate functions and Straumann group entities: perform duties to ensure appropriate service level to end users, communicate with requisitioners and suppliers to clarify operational issues, follow-up deliveries, act as the first point of contact for internal and external claim management.• Maintain ERP systems to ensure continuous support of the material and service requirements and accuracy of data (master data, vendor master, source list).• Lead and develop internal campaigns to ensure comprehensive understanding of procurement processes among stakeholders, while also collaborating on Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) related activities throughout the organization and supplier base.About the candidatesProfile• Preferred education: Bachelor, academic degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, or Economics• Professional certification: CIPS or CPSM desired• Languages: Spanish and English (written and spoken). German would be an advantage.Experience• Experience between 2 and 5 years in procurement tasks such as contract negotiations, conducting RFXs, purchase order processing, or vendor relationship management.• Previous experience in executing P2P Process transactions in SAP required (at least one year).• Demonstrated performance in working with several department and functions, with requisite drive and energy to be successful in delivering always keeping the internal customer as a priority.• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.• Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines.Personal Attributes & behaviours• Good written and oral communication skills; ability to communicate effectively.• Effective time management, planning and organization skills; ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities and drive tasks to completion in a fixed time-frame and in an agile environment• Ability to deal with ambiguities, conflicts, and adversarial relationships.• Beginner to Intermediate negotiation skillsAbility to identify problems quickly, make sound judgments, establish and implement solutions#J-18808-Ljbffr
