Job Purpose The Purchasing Planner will contribute to improving the customer service level through ensuring stock availability for the group of references in their responsibility. He/she is responsible for planning, executing and monitoring the purchasing of raw materials, components, and commercialized finished goods. Required Experience and Knowledge University degree or equivalent. Speaks Spanish and English (B2). Experience SAP ECC (not SAP Business One) is a plus. To be competent in the use of Excel, Word and Outlook. Professional experience in Purchasing, Administration or Logistics is a plus. Structured and analytical working method. Able to work under pressure and changing environment. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Team working and communication skills. Key Responsibilities Place purchase orders with suppliers for the procurement of production components and commercialized products as required by forecast, production schedule and customer needs. Monitor status of open purchase orders to ensure on-time delivery of materials, including timely resolution, communication and mitigation of future potential problems. Coordinate material flows throughout product/BOM changes, obsolescence, and the introduction of new suppliers and/or materials due to new product development. Manage the inter-company flow of materials between warehouse locations. Manage and resolve issues regarding PO to invoice discrepancies, returns, claims and quality problems with suppliers. Provide back-up support for supply chain functions including shipping, receiving, material handling and other duties as assigned. Review SAP (MRP) to ensure data and parameters are accurate and up to date (MOQ, lead time, safety stocks). Identify errors in parameters and suggest improvements. Collaborate with internal customers and provide a high level of customer service, including recommending solutions, resources, and alternative supply options
