Purchasing Engineer

Responsibilities Identify and assess strategic and potential suppliers. Negotiate contracts and supply agreements. Foster strong relationships with current suppliers. Place and track purchase orders. Ensure adherence to delivery schedules. Verify that materials and components meet technical specifications and quality standards. Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to resolve supply-related issues. Monitor and manage costs associated with purchased materials and services. Conduct cost analyses and devise strategies for cost reduction. Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to gauge efficiency. Prepare regular reports on supplier performance and procurement status. Implement enhancements in procurement processes to boost efficiency. Utilize inventory management systems and ERP software. Requirements University degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or other engineering/science degrees. Master's Degree in Supply Chain is a plus. Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the industrial sector. English at negotiation level is required. French is a plus. Experience in water treatment plants valuable. Availability for travel. Proficiency in analyzing purchasing and cost data to inform decision-making. Strong ability to collaborate effectively with other departments. #J-18808-Ljbffr
