The Product Company of Zaragoza (Spain), Competence Center for Portable Power and Flow Solutions is seeking new talents!
At Portable Power and Flow we develop energy efficient solutions with hybridation, cleaner technologies, digital connectivity and customer care, aiming to build a sustainable future across our four product ranges: mobile generators, energy storage systems, light towers, and portable and industrial pumps, that serve a wide range of industries like construction, mining, events, dewatering, rental, food and beverage, healthcare, wastewater, and biogas, among others.
Diverse by nature and inclusive by choice, we have a multicultural environment where you will develop your career in the Purchasing Team. As an Atlas Copco Purchaser, you are responsible for the supplier management of a specific set of commodities.
This implies you'll explore, select, introduce and optimize the supply chain.
You develop a solid purchasing strategy based on divisional targets by actively participating in (re)design projects.
This implies initiating price requests and evaluating suppliers on commercial, technical, and logistical level, all whilst respecting legal and regulatory aspects.
You lead the negotiations of supply agreements and systematically investigate purchasing synergies within your own department and with colleagues from other product companies.
We expect you to initiate and bring into completion savings and availability projects by conducting market research and benchmarks while considering total cost, value creation and possible risks.
You work closely with the Supplier Quality Assurance Engineers on the quality performance evaluation of your suppliers and the related improvement actions.
You coordinate the evaluation of the logistical performance of your suppliers and strongly support possible improvement actions.
You are heavily involved in the actions to safeguard the deliveries to customers.
You actively participate in cross-departmental projects on existing and new products, keeping track of project budgets, timings and cost.
You communicate relevant information to your internal stakeholders within the purchasing department and represent purchasing in a multidisciplinary team responsible for the successful completion of the project at the lowest total cost.
The essence of your function is to use excellent communicative skills to support interactions with both external and internal stakeholders.
You will report to the Purchasing Team Leader.
Your Main Tasks And FunctionsControl and assure delivery times of assigned suppliers, product status, invoice conditions, compliance and subsequent delivery to Finance department.Help in the supplier assessment process and search for alternative sources.Give support in pricing negotiation with suppliers as well as delivery and payment deadlines.Aim to cost reduction in purchasing orders.Manage all documentation required for the tasks of responsibility.Contribute in the improvement of Purchasing department KPI´s.Assist and report in the meetings of the projects assigned.Cooperate with the Project Teams and contribute to create a positive working environment with all departments.Educational RequirementsHigher education in Electronic Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering, Industrial Engineering or Business Engineering.Experience Requirements1 to 4 years purchasing and sourcing experience in a global company is a plus.Knowledge RequirementsSpanish is a must and good command of English language both oral and writing, actively used in Projects and supplier relationships.Excel advanced user and you know the basics of Microsoft Office.Commercial or project experience and knowledge of AS400 or similar ERP is a plus.Soft Skills RequiredExcellent communication and negotiation skills.Collaboration and Team success focus mindset.Proactiveness.In Return We Offer YouAt Atlas Copco we have a friendly, family-like atmosphere and a culture known for respectful interaction, ethical behaviour and integrity.We offer plenty of opportunities to grow and develop, as well as potential to see your ideas realized and make an impact.
