.WiseEnergy is a trusted and established solar asset manager, offering all the services clients require to manage and optimise large-scale solar plants, from development and construction through to long-term operational asset management. We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Purchase Order Officer to be the main point of contact on implementation and ongoing workstream of a purchase order system with Yooz, a cloud P2P automation tool. You will need the right balance of introversion and extroversion to be comfortable in this role. You will be a key member of the Finance Team who can build and maintain good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Reporting to the Accounts Payable Manager,the successful role holder will work with other accountants and professionals from other functions of the business - namely, commercial and technical. There is an expectation of consistency and accuracy of outputs, as well as delivering and maintaining a high degree of customer service (internal and external). In view of this, you will be expected to appropriately flag issues and support their resolution through to the end and proactively drive continuous improvement.The Purchase Order Officer is expected to be able to undertake the responsibilities outlined below with minimum supervision:Purchase Order System Set Up & Process Implementation:Collaborate with Senior Finance Members, other Purchase Requisitioners, Department Heads, Approvers, Portfolio Managers, and the Yooz Project Team in the process configuration and set up of the system.Involvement in ongoing P2P process improvements including automation.Updating approval workflows as client and business needs change.Presenting to client for sign off and updating in system.Supporting the implementing the purchase order system for other funds/clients (as required).Prepare a proposal for sign off on a quote management tool. Upon sign off would be the main point of contact in implementation.Purchase Order Administration:Processing a large volume of purchase orders ("P.O.S") for contracted and ad hoc costs with speed and accuracy across a caseload of entities in different jurisdictions - Holding Companies, Operational and Construction SPVs.Full management of the P.O - reviewing status of P.O, send P.O to vendor, track P.O through to vendor bill receipt and payment.Quarterly and annual review of open P.Os and archiving in the system if cost is no longer valid.Maintain and nurture vendor relationships.Working closely with Accounts Payable Team, internal Department Heads and Client Investment Teams.Quote management support.Accounts Payable - Interim:Processing vendor bills, preparation of vendor payment run, bank reconciliation, vendor management.Potential for further Accounts Payable work to be assigned.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:High level of attention to detail.Strong communication both written and verbal.Organised and ability to multi-task
