The Physical Therapist Clinical Specialist is responsible for supporting and implementing physical therapy programs to improve movement and restore physical functions of the patient.
Acquires medical history, assesses current physical ability and develops rehabilitative treatment plans aimed at maximizing function and minimizing pain.
Assists in restoring movement, strength and flexibility through therapeutic procedures and exercise.
Reevaluates patient status regularly and modifies care plan as required.GENERAL DUTIESCreates and implements a treatment plan to meet the requirements of the patients.Performs patient evaluations, reassessments in adherence with hospital, department policies and procedures.Aids in the development and implementation of new clinical practice models for the delivery of physical care plans.Drives the responsibility of improving the effectiveness and efficiency of physical therapy services.Evaluates and monitors clinically appropriate treatment programs, provides professional oversight and consultation.EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS5 years of experience required as a PT in a hospital inpatient or outpatient clinic setting.EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONSDPT in Physical TherapyLICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONSLicensed as a Physical Therapist Louisiana Physical Therapy Board.
