Purpose of the Function: Our customer is looking for a passionate, highly self-motivated and goal-oriented, data-lover Business Intelligence Consultant who will be responsible for designing, testing, and implementing business intelligence solutions plus fixing the existing ones.
Successful candidates must have and demonstrate a clear understanding of BI, Data Warehousing and related technologies and solutions.

Key Responsibilities and Tasks: Project Lead: Work as the project lead to understand business processes and implement company-centric solutions including but not limited to: Updating our central data warehouse, using best practices to gather requirements, model data, and implement a system that is highly performant and near-real-time.Extend existing Data Warehouse infrastructures with new dimensionality, functionalities, scenarios and new data sources using Oracle Data Integrator.Develop interactive reporting solutions using MicroStrategy / Power BI. Improve data governance and data quality using Master Data Management systems.Adapt to change, and maximize value for our internal clients using agile techniques.Relational Database Management: Strong technical level in SQL. Manage indexes and know about performance improvements at database level (mainly in Oracle 12c, but also in other cloud-based technologies). Manage star schema developments, from the creation to the evolution. Implement and consider referential integrity. Avoid data redundancy and manage integration rules. Entity relationship modelling creation and maintenance. Archiving procedures knowledge and automation.ETL Management: Design and develop the information interfaces through all source systems to the data warehouse using ODI 12. Orchestrate and coordinate data flows between business scenarios to provide consistent information on-time. Trace and investigate issues and data collisions. Avoid redundancy between information flows. Monitor processes executions, performance and data quality.Reporting Management: Design and develop information integration from the data warehouse models to the reporting layer. Be comfortable working with multidimensional models, hierarchies and complex reports / dashboards definitions. Define consistent metrics to cover business scope. Prepare and design simple and usable reports and dashboards for the users. Ensure the best practices of the area on any development.Working Experience and Knowledge: Minimum 5 years' hands-on work in Business Intelligence. Previous hands-on experience with Oracle 12c, ODI 12 and MicroStrategy 2020-onwards. Experienced in cloud-based solutions based on Azure (Azure Data lake, Azure Data Storage, Azure Data Factory). Experience in data governance and information organization.
Valuable for the Position but not Mandatory: Experience with Master Data Management, design and implementation. Experience in Agile development. Knowledge on AWS or Google cloud.
Technical Skills: Excellent analytic and deductive reasoning ability. In-depth knowledge of Oracle Database, Oracle Data Integrator and Microstrategy are a must. Other knowledge and experience on ETL and reporting tools (like Power BI) is a plus. Advanced knowledge of Data Warehousing and BI best practices. Knowledge in statistics, R or Python is a plus.
Soft Skills: Must have high energy level, be self-motivated, with a results-oriented approach. Great communication skills and a strong desire to succeed. Team player.
Personal Skills Requirements and Job Conditions: Job Location: Madrid, European nationality otherwise EU / Spain work permit required as a prerequisite.
Education and Training: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or Physics, or with equivalent professional experience.
Languages: Fluent in English is essential and a professional Spanish level is important.
Organizational Position: Reporting to Business Intelligence Director.
