About the Role
We are currently recruiting in JTB VIAJES SPAIN a Project Manager ENGLISH SPEAKING M&E with previous experience within the MICE industry to join our passionate team. This position will be based in Madrid.
Responsibilities include:
Determine client's needs and expectations, liaising with sales to ascertain client's precise requirements.
Create, plan and deliver large-scale events for a variety of foreign clients across the year.
Proposal creation and pitch, when required.
Full logistics including accommodation bookings and all land arrangements throughout full domestic territory.
Supplier management prior, during and after the event.
Negotiating with third parties to maximize value creation.
Client and account management to ensure repeat business.
Onsite management of the event.
Budget management and post event reconciliation.
Produce pre/post event evaluation for analysis & enhance future service delivery level.
Reporting to various stakeholders.
Analysis, research and identification of issues, addressing those that can be resolved and make recommendations to management for improvement.
On a monthly basis, ensure Atlas (M&E operational / financial system) is up to date.

- Administration skills including a strong understanding of business financials.
- Strong IT literacy.
We are looking for a Person with:
- English Speaking Level Advanced.
- Previous experience/working knowledge in the MICE industry for at least 3 years.
- Fluent in English and Spanish. Written and verbal language skills are essential.
- Deep knowledge of the Spanish territory and what it can offer in terms of MICE services.
- Sound organisational and MS Office skills.
- Team player, ability to work both in group situations and also as an individual.
- Willingness to travel nationally and work irregular hours.
