Responsibilities: Your role as a Project Manager, Research Grants will involve: Identify Funding Opportunities: Analyze research funding calls, particularly competitive European and national research programs (Horizon Europe, ERC, Spanish national calls, etc.), and provide tailored advice to researchers. Proposal Development: Assist researchers in the preparation and submission of high-quality research grant applications, ensuring alignment with the funding criteria and institutional goals. Strategic Collaboration: Work in close collaboration with the IE Research Office and the Vice Dean of Research to implement strategic research initiatives. Grant Management: Support researchers throughout the project lifecycle, from pre-award to post-award stages, ensuring compliance with funders' regulations and reporting requirements. Training and Mentorship: Offer workshops and personalized training sessions to help researchers improve their grant writing and project management skills. Monitoring and Reporting: Maintain databases of funding opportunities, track research outcomes, and assist in the reporting of grant-funded projects to stakeholders and funders. Qualifications: To thrive in this role, you should have:
Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in research project management, ideally within higher education or research institutions. Knowledge of Research Calls: In-depth knowledge of European research funding programs (e.g., Horizon Europe, ERC) and Spanish national research calls (e.g., Agencia Estatal de Investigación, CDTI). Education: A Master's degree in a related field (science, technology, research management) is required. Languages: Fluent in English and Spanish, both written and spoken. Strong organizational and project management skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment. Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively. Proficiency in managing multiple projects and deadlines.
