The Research Group of Microbiology at Vall d'Hebron Research Institute (VHIR) focuses on the study of the microbiology aspects involved in infectious diseases aimed at improving basic, translational, and clinical research that could improve the outcomes of patients with infectious diseases.
We work with special interest in studying the mechanisms involved in antimicrobial resistance, sexually transmitted infectious diseases, viral and fungal infection in immunocompromised patients, microbial mechanisms involved in pathogenicity, microbial epidemiology, as well as in the design and evaluation of new molecular infectious disease diagnostic systems.
Job Description Education and Qualifications: Degree in Life Sciences and Health Specific/Additional training in Communication and Project Management Fluency in spoken and written English (minimum level in English: C1), Catalan, and Spanish Experience and Knowledge: At least 1 year of experience working in project management or related within the biomedical sector Results-oriented professional with close attention to detail and the ability to prioritize Team player with excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact with different hierarchical levels of the organization Good command of MS Office and other computer tools Main Responsibilities and Duties: Projects in collaboration with external partners: Preparation and presentation of the documentation to the Ethics Committee Coordination with the Legal Unit to ensure contract signature Follow-up of the projects and communication with partners Public projects: follow-up of budget and expenses Provide support on the organization, functioning, and development of the Microbiology Research group Work Plans Analyze and identify the expertise within the different research areas of the Microbiology Research group and the Institution Promote and organize joint scientific activities and events Boost internal and external scientific collaborations of the Microbiology Research group Identify funding opportunities adequate to the Microbiology Research group interests and missions established, and support in the writing of grants Promote specific training according to the interests of the Microbiology Research group Promote Responsible Research & Innovation (RRI) culture Interact with Principal Investigators of the Microbiology Research group & support the research activities they develop Labour Conditions: Full-time position: 40h/week.
