ResponsibilitiesLead the planning, design, and construction phases of thelaunch site, ensuring adherence to schedule, budget, and quality standards. Coordinate with engineering teams to develop andimplement innovative solutions for launch siteinfrastructure and systems. Manage relationships with contractors, suppliers, andgovernment agencies involved in launch siteactivities. Plan the maintenance and upgrade of launch sitefacilities, equipment, and support systems. Develop and implement operational procedures andprotocols to ensure safe and efficient launch operations. Collaborate with mission control and launch operationsteams to coordinate launch schedules and activities. Monitor and mitigate risks associated with launch site operations, including environmental, safety, and security risks.Interface with stakeholders, including customers,regulatory agencies, and international partners, to ensure alignment andcompliance with project goals and requirements. Prepare regular reports and updates on launch sitestatus, performance, and milestones. Provide high-level and low-level feedback for MIURA 5program development planning. Necessary RequirementsBachelor's degree in engineering or relatedfield. Demonstrated experience managingengineeringprojects. Proficiency in project management tools and techniques,including scheduling, budgeting, and risk management. Experience with international collaboration projectsand working in multicultural environments. Desired RequirementsAbility to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams toachieve project objectives. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, withthe ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with theability to identify issues, evaluate options, and implement effectivesolutions. Proven track record of working effectively inmultidisciplinary teams and building productive relationships with internal andexternal stakeholders. Sound judgment and decision-making abilities, especiallyin high-pressure situations. Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements,priorities, and constraints. Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment,managing multiple development projects and priorities. Strong organizational and time management skills to meetproject deadlines and milestones. Previous experience in a managerialor leadership role. Ability and willingness to travel toGuiana Space Centre in French Guiana as needed, and to spend extended periodsthere depending on the progress of the project. Fluency in English and/or French languages. Desired CompetenciesUnderstanding of launch sites, test benches oroil & gas plants design principles, construction methods, and operationalrequirements. Knowledge of relevant regulations, standards, and bestpractices governing launch complex operations and safety. Knowledge of environmental sustainability practices andregulations relevant to launch complex operations. Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, Prince2)or relevant professional associations (e.g., AIAA, PMI). Familiarity with space launch systems, including rocketpropulsion, payload integration, and launch operations.
