Mission
As the Project Manager (Launch Site) for the MIURA 5 Launch System Program your mission is to oversee and coordinate all aspects of the launch site design, construction, integration, testing and exploitation.
Responsibilities
Lead the planning, design, and construction phases of the launch site, ensuring adherence to schedule, budget, and quality standards.
Coordinate with engineering teams to develop and implement innovative solutions for launch site infrastructure and systems.
Manage relationships with contractors, suppliers, and government agencies involved in launch site activities.
Plan the maintenance and upgrade of launch site facilities, equipment, and support systems.
Develop and implement operational procedures and protocols to ensure safe and efficient launch operations.
Collaborate with mission control and launch operations teams to coordinate launch schedules and activities.
Monitor and mitigate risks associated with launch site operations, including environmental, safety, and security risks.
Interface with stakeholders, including customers, regulatory agencies, and international partners, to ensure alignment and compliance with project goals and requirements.
Prepare regular reports and updates on launch site status, performance, and milestones.
Generate documentation for formal program development reviews.
Provide high-level and low-level feedback for MIURA 5 program development planning.
Necessary Requirements
Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
Demonstrated experience managing engineering projects.
Proficiency in project management tools and techniques, including scheduling, budgeting, and risk management.
Experience with international collaboration projects and working in multicultural environments.

Ability and willingness to travel to Guiana Space Centre in French Guiana as needed, and to spend extended periods there depending on the progress of the project.
Fluency in English and/or French languages.
Desired Competencies
Understanding of launch sites, test benches or oil & gas plants design principles, construction methods, and operational requirements.
Knowledge of relevant regulations, standards, and best practices governing launch complex operations and safety.
Knowledge of environmental sustainability practices and regulations relevant to launch complex operations.
Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, Prince2) or relevant professional associations (e.g., AIAA, PMI).
Familiarity with space launch systems, including rocket propulsion, payload integration, and launch operations.
Experience working at the Guiana Space Center.
