Now we are looking for a Project Manager (Project Logistics) in our office in Madrid!
RESPONSIBILITIES: Coordinate a seamless flow of cargo from the point of contractual origin to destination; Verify and evaluate the technical suitability of the proposed method of transport; Review, study, and implement an action plan on the conditions contained therein; Provide relevant expert knowledge across solutions and the logistics industry; Attend and chair project progress meetings, meetings at Client's, the Seller's/Supplier's facilities, Consolidation and Marshalling Yards, Job Site, or other locations to discuss forthcoming shipping operations and logistical planning; Manage, oversee, and audit all staff, sub-contractors, and their interface; Act as a direct liaison for IPL for all cargo movements and report to Customers; Manage and prepare Commercial and Technical offers for internal and external Customers; Ensure that Project approved Shipping Plan is obtained for all transportation and freight expenditure ahead of actual movements in accordance with the pre-set criteria; Jointly develop and agree on project-specific working procedures; Review, study, and implement an action plan on each Shipping operation based on the conditions contained therein; Manage, control, and audit all project job files; Introduce new Customers and business opportunities to AsstrA/IPL, where possible; Engage in price and rate negotiations with service providers, sub-contractors, and carriers as required and directed.
REQUIREMENTS: Deep knowledge of transport and freight forwarding industry; Experience in Project management in the logistics industry and project cargo transportation (min.
5 years); Higher education – economy/marketing/finance/management/logistics/transport; Excellent knowledge of English and Spanish; Proven organizational skills and leadership qualities; Exceptional problem-solving and negotiation skills; Strategic thinking, proactivity, and responsibility; Good team-working competencies.
