Job Title: Project Manager - Disinformation Identification and Mitigation Location: Remote / UK / Netherlands / Spain (will consider other countries) About the Role: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager to lead our disinformation identification and mitigation efforts.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing projects aimed at identifying and mitigating disinformation across a variety of platforms and channels, including social media, online news, and other digital media.
This is a critical role that will help to protect our clients and their stakeholders from the harmful effects of disinformation.
Responsibilities: Develop and implement strategies and tactics to identify and mitigate disinformation across multiple platforms and channels.
Lead and manage a team of professionals with diverse backgrounds and expertise to execute the project plan.
Collaborate with other teams within the organisation to ensure that disinformation identification and mitigation efforts are aligned with the overall strategy and goals of the organisation.
Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, such as social media platforms, news organisations, and other partners, to coordinate efforts and share information.
Monitor and analyse disinformation trends and patterns, and provide regular reports and recommendations to the senior management team.
Develop and maintain processes for identifying, evaluating, and responding to potential disinformation threats.
Ensure that all project activities are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Monitor and manage project risks, issues, and dependencies, and ensure that appropriate actions are taken to address them.
Requirements: Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build positive relationships with internal teams.
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as communications, journalism, public policy, or a related area.
A Master's degree is preferred.
At least five years of experience in a project management role, with a track record of successfully leading complex, high-stakes projects.
Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of disinformation and its impact on society, including familiarity with relevant academic research, industry trends, and policy debates.
Experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams and managing relationships with external partners.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and persuade others.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound judgments and decisions based on data and evidence.
Experience in using project management tools and techniques, such as Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall, to manage projects effectively.
Strong attention to detail, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic, and constantly changing environment.
