Ria's Global PMO is distributed between Los Angeles (our Headquarters), Madrid and Kuala Lumpur. Our company is one of the leaders in the Money Transfer sector and needs to adapt its products to the different regions and regulations where we're operating, as well as launching new products across all these markets. That's why our team is involved in global projects which involve stakeholders from different countries and regions. We are seeking a Project Manager/Business Analyst. The position is located in the Europe HQ office, in Alcobendas (Madrid). The Project Manager should have excellent people management skills and strong knowledge of the software development and IT systems lifecycle. Responsibilities for Internal Candidates • Lead projects from inception through deployment, identifying schedules and deadlines, scope, estimations and risks. Develop project implementation plans. • Coordinate internal teams and vendors for the execution of projects. • Report on project status, risks and outcomes. Revise the scope, schedule, or budget to ensure that project requirements can be met. Escalate issues as necessary. • Ensure that the organizational project management standards are met and enforced. Help evolve and improve these standards. • Establish and maintain relationships with the internal project community and with relevant third parties to ensure proper project execution. Manage project communication. • Work with key stakeholders across the company to ensure successful product delivery. • Foster Agile principles and methods for project management. • Participate in the elaboration of product portfolios, aligned to strategic objectives. • Help to coordinate cross-product initiatives. • Help to maintain product documentation. Qualifications for Internal Candidates • 3 years of project management experience, preferably in information technology. Similar experience in systems/business analysis is a plus. • Technical background, with understanding or hands-on experience in software development and web technologies. • Leadership and team building experience. • Experience on project management / software lifecycle tools (Jira, Targetprocess, Azure DevOps Redmine, etc.) • Experience on Agile/Lean Development environments (Scrum, Kanban, XP) • Experience on Agile business analysis, product backlog management and writing user stories and acceptance criteria is a plus. • Project management education and/or certification (such as PMP / PRINCE II) is a plus. • Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills. • Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently. • Excellent command of written and oral English.
