We want to join a Project Manager at SYSTEM ENGINEERING ML for projects. Reporting to the Head of System Engineering Management ML Area for bids and projects, this role drives a team of signaling system engineers working for ML projects. It is of utmost importance for its contribution to the System and product strategy as System engineering is the technical authority of all the projects and has the perfect view of customer needs and requirements as well as market tendencies and lessons learned from existing projects.
Main Tasks & Responsibilities:
Analysis, Accounting and planning of tasks and continuous monitoring of the results and allocated budget.
Collaborate with the SYS ML Head in preparing cost estimations and resource loading.
Line Manager driving a team of signaling system engineers, whose main responsibilities are:
Project requirements analysis at system level to provide the complete solution of the signaling system required by the project.
Definition of system-related functionalities to fulfill all project-specific needs, ensuring completeness of technical submission and consistency of the design.
Defining the system architecture according to the Siemens portfolio.
Coordination with the head of R&D designated for the project.
Creation/Maintain of a URS (User Requirement Specification) to R&D capturing the gaps of the existing system to be applied against project requirements.
Support to bidding team. Work with the different stakeholders involved in the bid process to ensure completeness in the proposed technical solution.
Support to system integration team to ensure a correct and complete integration between the different components of the signaling system and between the signaling system and the external parties.
Motivation and development of employees both at management and professional levels.
Evaluation of collaborators.
Requirements:
Experience in Rail Signaling.
General knowledge in Railway Signaling and specifically in ML solution.
Knowledge in the Siemens Mobility portfolio for ML segment (ETCS).
Desirable knowledge in other ML solutions (i.e: ASFA) and competitors portfolio.
Experience in Requirements Management, specification, traceability and validation.
Desirable experience as a team leader.
Deep knowledge in CENELEC standards and V-life Cycle models.
Leadership, coaching and developing other abilities.
Planning capabilities.
+5 years experience as System manager or equivalent.
Availability to travel.
Experience in international projects and experience in dealing with HQ.
Fluent in English and Spanish.
Continuous improvement oriented.
