All IT needs of SE are managed by the Schneider Digital Global Function. Spread across 60 countries with over 4000 employees, this function develops & works with major IT & Software providers to manage software which drive our P&L and enable our businesses. The HR Systems & Employee Experience – Digital Strategy & Governance team works to deliver the #LoveableEx ambition of Schneider Digital. The team aims to define & evolve the HR Applications strategy while ensuring standards are followed across the product lifecycle.
We are seeking a talented individual to join this team as a Project Management Officer. You will be responsible for managing the Demand & Delivery Governance of our technology transformation initiatives. This role requires a proven track record in orchestrating program or project management teams on end-to-end technology transformations, from conception to adoption. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technology acumen, analytical skills, an agile mindset, and the ability to navigate the complexities of a matrix organization.
Main responsibilities:
Establish & oversee the governance of development and deployment of both custom and off-the-shelf technology solutions.
Guide teams on conceptualizing & delivering end-to-end technology transformation projects following common guidelines.
Support stakeholders in building & presenting compelling business cases for technology initiatives to senior leadership.
Protect standards to have a scalable and efficient technology landscape, prioritizing out-of-the-box solutions over customizations.
Collaborate with cross-functional & cross-geography teams to ensure technology solutions meet business needs.
Manage vendor relationships, ensuring effective delivery and contract management.
Manage stakeholder relationships, resolving conflicts and aligning differing opinions.
Ensure compliance with data privacy, security, and architectural standards.
Partner with leaders in different functions to manage their technology needs & solutions.
Foster an agile culture, promoting continuous improvement and innovation.
What qualifications will make you successful for this role?
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Project management & PMO governance experience of minimum 4 years with 2 years in the PMO function.
Proven experience in indirectly managing large delivery teams around technology transformation.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
Experience working in teams operating on cloud-based solutions and digital transformation.
Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate a diverse team.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
Experience in budget planning and management.
Experience in managing vendor relationships and contract negotiations.
Strong understanding of agile methodologies and their application in technology projects.
Project Management Certifications & proficient in use of PM tools like JIRA, MS Project & O365 suite.
Experience in HR Systems & Employee Experience is a plus.
Knowledge of data privacy and security regulations.
