Job Description At Avery Dennison, Solutions Group, we are looking for an enthusiastic, flexible and organized business administrator and project leader to join our Solutions Group team. In this role, you will play a critical role in supporting the Solutions Group President and leadership team in executing our organizational strategy, driving operational excellence and fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability. You will support our Solutions Group leadership team, acting as a coordinator for group interactions and meetings, ensuring the right level of preparation for maximum efficiency and connecting key projects, business initiatives and actions accordingly. This role will report to the President of the Solutions Group directly, both filtering and as appropriate attending day-to-day functions that are part of the executive's role so that the executive can focus on the high-level leadership and strategy functions.**
In this position you will play a crucial role in ensuring day-to-day operations run smoothly from an administrative perspective, drive key initiatives and foster cross functional collaboration. You will be expected to perform advanced, diversified and confidential administrative duties requiring broad and comprehensive experience, skill and knowledge of organizational policies and practices. You will act as a trusted advisor, confidant and proxy to the Solutions Group President, facilitating communication, prioritizing tasks and driving operational efficiency.
Role & Responsibility
Strategic Alignment. Collaborate with the Solutions Group President and leadership Team to cascade strategic objectives to ensure alignment throughout the organization. Monitor progress against strategic initiatives and provide regular updates to the President.
Support special projects of a confidential nature. This could range from potential acquisitions or partnerships, organizational changes and internal organizational challenges that require special attention.
Information gathering. Identify challenges and opportunities and bring to the attention of the Group President and/or Solutions Group Leadership Team. This could include gathering information such as financial reports, performance scorecards and discussions with Solutions Group team members. Good data analytics skills required.
Management of administrative details. Spearhead managing miscellaneous administrative tasks for the Solutions Group President and leadership team such as preparation for external engagements and team meetings. This includes the organization and preparation for meetings on site or abroad, including gathering documents and attending to logistics of meetings.
Creation of visual communications and content. Develop slides and visuals needed for leadership meetings and communication events.
Additional administrative responsibilities including :
Serve as the primary point of contact for the President managing correspondence, scheduling and communications.
Prepare correspondence for Group President's final approval.
Answer routine questions, obtain and furnish information to save the leader's time.
Research a wide variety of complex information requests independently.
Prioritize, adapt quickly and work independently to provide high quality support to the business.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management or related field.
3+ years experience in a similar role and demonstrated success in providing executive support to several departments in an international, high demand environment, with:
