Joining us means joining a caring, responsible, and innovative company where more than 70,000 people lead the way to greener and smarter mobility, worldwide.JOB TITLEProject Engineering Manager (PrEM), Design to CoST, Team Manager.DURATIONPermanent.LOCATIONBarcelona, Santa Perpetua Site.PURPOSE OF THE JOBManage the Project Engineering Manager (PrEM) and Design to Cost (DtC) activities in order to reach the QCD commitments on the project(s)/program(s) allocated to the Site:Ensure the deployment of Alstom Transport QMS and corresponding Engineering instructions on the Site.Manage and develop the PrEM Team on Site.Manage the PrEM Metier on Site.Contribute to the continuous improvement of the Engineering project management in collaboration with the Central Engineering team.Ensure Design to Cost team development and deployment under responsibility of Design to Cost team Manager.MAIN RESPONSIBILITIESAccountable for:Implementing an organisation to ensure the proper management of the Engineering project management and Design to Cost activities of the projects and tenders under the responsibility of the Site.Ensuring the proper follow-up of the QCD Engineering of the sites.Supporting the PrEM team in the resolution of issues in particular those involving other stakeholders (internal or external) and to support them in the definition of priorities.Managing the development of the site PrEM and DtC teams to ensure the adequacy of the capacity vs workload vs skills.Ensuring adequate PrEM and DtC resources are appointed to the projects/programs allocated to the Site.Ensuring the Alstom Transport/Engineering rules & processes are understood and applied.Being a pro-active contributor to the improvement of the Engineering rules in collaboration with the Central Engineering team.Responsible for:According to the Site team size and workload, taking the role of PrEM on one project.Having a pro-active challenging view on engineering project management performed by the Site team to enhance their adequacy/consistency and compliance with the applicable instructions and guidelines.Educational Requirements & SkillsGood Communications and interpersonal skills.Customer Focus / Management skills.Structured and organised with Hands-on approach.Fluent in English and national language on the site.Experience in Train engineering.Experience of 5+ years team management.Alstom is the leading company in the mobility sector, solving the most interesting challenges for tomorrow's mobility
