Overview / Responsibilities: Wood is looking for a Project Engineer with proven experience in heat exchangers designs.
Among others, his / her responsibilities will include:Participates in the coordination of the engineering activities during the development of the project.Coordinates the preparation of Project Specifications by the various discipline departments.Assists / prepares the Project Execution Plan (PEP) in collaboration with the Lead Engineer and the Project Manager.Prepares the thermal and mechanical designs, material requisition for packages, etc., interfacing with the project team and the Client.Assists the Engineering Coordinator in the review of approved Project schedules and ensures that the Detailed Programs include all the Engineering activities of the units under his charge.Prepares the Project Specifications as assigned.Prepares the requisitions of the assigned package units or special equipments and the corresponding technical tabulations.Reviews and approves the vendor drawings of the equipments requisitioned by him / herself.Identifies and follows up the Contract Changes.Prepares man-hour estimates to support contract changes.Assists / prepares the monthly Progress Report.Technical skills for detail engineering work:Skills / Qualifications:Relevant Diploma / Degree in Mining, Industrial or Chemical Engineering.Proven record ranging from 2 to 5 years of relevant experience performing equivalent duties, preferably with heat exchangers designs.Conversant with international codes and standards (ANSI, ASME, API, NFPA, etc).Knowledge of Autocad, SolidWorks, Codecalc/PvElite and HTRI.Teamwork capabilities, flexibility, problem-solving attitude, orientation to results, relational skills, specific technical knowledge.Ready to work in an international environment and to learn international engineering working practices.Spanish language at native level.Excellent command of English.Valid European Work Permit.Driving licence.Company Overview:Diversity Statement: We are an equal opportunity employer that recognises the value of a diverse workforce.
