Project Engineer

Established (30 Years) General Contractor Seeks Project Engineer! San Clemente, CA! We are an established general contractor that specializes in commercial projects. In return, we offer: Safe Harbor 401K match 3% (Missed match only 3x in 30 years)Medical, dental, and vision insuranceCell phone, laptop, iPadVacation/sick timePaid Holidays (8)Opportunity to work for an established company that values its employees!Who you are: 2+ years experience as a Project Engineer or equivalentGeneral contracting experienceExperience with ground up and TI projectsExperience with commercial projects such as healthcare, medical offices, self storage, parks, senior living, corporate offices, etc.Procore experience (preferred) or similar construction project management software experienceOSHA 10 and/or 30 training (preferred)Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from four-year college or university; degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or Architecture preferredWhat you will be doing: Prioritize, submit, and distribute RFIs in a timely fashionRegularly review Procore for overdue RFIs and respond appropriatelyCreate Change Events in Procore as needed to document potential changes in scope, budget, or scheduleProcess submittals through Procore with appropriate deadlines to the design team for reviewDistribute submittal responses to relevant subcontractors for coordination and ensure no schedule delays or rework due to subcontractors missing informationRegularly review Procore drawing log to ensure current plans are in Procore, Sharefile, shared network drives, and on-site, and also ensure relevant parties have access to current plansCoordinate with the job site superintendent to ensure permit plans are organized and easily accessible for on-site review and inspectionsManage project specific documentation requirements such as subcontractor business licenses, Title 24, Cal Green, LEED, etc.Record accurate meeting minutes and distribute themRegularly review Procore for overdue meetingsPrepare and process any Purchase Orders on the project with attention to detail regarding long lead-time itemsPrepare and process check requests for deposits on Purchase Orders or any other check requests required by the Project TeamUnderstand and be able to perform monthly, subcontractor billing procedure
