As a Project Engineer - Automation in Engineering Services, you'll provide solutions and services that help our customers protect and control critical electrical infrastructure and power systems worldwide.
As a Project Engineer - Automation, a typical day might include the following: Commissioning projects in the fieldDesigning automation and power system solutions for customersWorking alongside Project Managers, Technical Leads, and Engineers from other focus areasExtensive networking and programmingDevelopment of relay/controller settingsPreparation of functional design documentationThis job might be for you if: You enjoy working with logic engines, configuring networks, and SEL productsYou have good power systems knowledge and understanding of communication protocols (IEC-61850, DNP, Modbus, etc.)You have experience with IEC-61131 programmingYou have 2+ years of automation/power systems experienceYou have demonstrated knowledge of substation safety guidelines, including grounding philosophies, IED testing philosophies, isolation and restoration plan developmentYou are willing to travel both domestically and internationally as required, at least 50% (eligible for additional compensation)You have strong communication skills in English and ItalianSEL bases title on individual knowledge and experience.
