As a Project Engineer - Automation* in Engineering Services, you'll provide solutions and services that help our customers protect and control critical electrical infrastructure and power systems worldwide.**As a Project Engineer - Automation*, a typical day might include the following**:- Commissioning projects in the field- Designing automation and power system solutions for customers- Working alongside Project Managers, Technical Leads, and Engineers from other focus areas- Extensive networking and programming- Development of relay/controller settings- Preparation of functional design documentation**This job might be for you if**:- You enjoy working with logic engines, configuring networks, and SEL products- You have good power systems knowledge and understanding of communication protocols (IEC-61850, DNP, Modbus, etc.)- You have experience with IEC-61131 programming- You have 2+ years of automation/power systems experience- You have demonstrated knowledge of substation safety guidelines, including grounding philosophies, IED testing philosophies, isolation and restoration plan development- You are willing to travel both domestically and internationally as required, at least 50% (eligible for additional compensation)- You have strong communication skills in English and Italian**SEL bases title on individual knowledge and experience.****Communication with Applicants**SEL is an Equal Opportunity Employer: M/F/Vets/Disabled.
