As a result, our people get to enjoy working on some of the most exciting projects in the world.Job DescriptionTurner & Townsend is seeking a Project Controls Specialist responsible for assisting Project Managers working on capital projects in the MPLX G&P Segment. This position will provide support for processing plants, compressor stations, pipeline projects and ROW. Performs all work in compliance with company standards, procedures, and governmental requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesResponsible for setting up, tracking, forecasting, and reporting capital project AFE costs.Recognize and alert Project Managers on cost issues and assist with developing AFE supplements if required.Work with Project Managers and vendors to accurately forecast project cost on a monthly basis.Take the lead on AFE preparation and submission to ensure budget, asset and expenditure information is correct.Submit monthly accruals and work in progress comments to our Fixed Assets group.Actively involved in the project life cycle process from inception through startup and commissioning.Continuously work to build strong relationships and rapport with various departments including Accounting, Procurement, Land, Business Development, Engineering and others to ensure all costs are being captured and reported accurately.Leads efforts around accounts payable and invoicing functions.QualificationsMust have excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of individuals/employees is required.Communication skills will carry a heavy emphasis.Functional knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Project, and Access programs.Prior experience with SAP a plus.Occasional travel expected.Driver's License RequiredEducation and ExperienceBachelors Degreein Accounting or related field.5-10 years of experiencein natural gas industry in an accounting, cost management or contracts role.Additional InformationOn-site presence and requirements may change depending on our client's needsOur inspired people share our vision and mission.
