About the role Carrier Fire & Security now has an exciting opportunity for a Program Manager - Global Product Development in Barcelona.
Reporting to the Barcelona Engineering Leader, your main goal in this role will be driving best practices, standard work and analytics into the PM organization.
As Program Manager you will have an oversight of the status of the cross-functional projects and activities and will ensure the program goals are met following the processes and standards set by the business.
Foundational skills for this role include program and project management, communication skills at all levels of the company, general engineering aptitude, leadership, and business management skills.

To be successful in this role, you'll need to have:
Master's degree in Engineering, preferably in Electronics or Computer Science 5+ years of prior experience in project and team management in a multi-disciplinary, multicultural environment and should have been instrumental in launching two products in his/her career from end to end. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while demonstrating leadership and decision-making capabilities. Technical aptitude to lead cross functional projects that meet stakeholder needs. Program/Project Management training/certificate (e.g.
PMP from PMI) or significant practical experience. Strong organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills. Excellent forward-thinking skills and ability to foresee and manage program risks. Proactive and strong influential skills Self-driven with a Make it happen attitude Valid EU work permit Responsibilities As a Program Manager, you'll be responsible for:
Program management of strategic programs for the Business Unit and cross-functional business processes. Coordinating internal & external resources and third parties/vendors for the on time, within scope and within budget execution of the project. Developing detailed project plans to track progress and have a good risk management practice. Identifying and managing changes in project scope, schedule and costs following the appropriate processes. Measuring project performance (SPI/CPI, Earned Value, variance). Performing risk management to minimize and mitigate project risks. Reporting and escalating to management as needed. Creating and maintaining comprehensive project documentation, ensuring the team is fully aligned with the deliverables and standards set in the gated review (Passport) process. Delivering clear and timely communication to team, cross-functional departments, and leadership. Driving cross functional development of standard work. Driving root cause analysis when product issues occur using tools such as fault-tree analysis and fishbone diagrams.
