Central Operations (CO) refers to a new approach in Amazon Logistics (AMZL) to define a scalable solution to run an increasingly complex and growing last mile delivery network. CO is a key strategic initiative with a vision to transform the way AMZL executes route planning, labor planning and last mile on-road delivery experience. As Program Manager, you will own multiple initiatives to drive standardization across EU. This will improve the overall last mile cost and Delivery Service Providers (DSP) Experience for AMZL EU.
Key job responsibilities
Responsible for EU DSP Payments programs to drive standardization and process compliance.
Develop processes and systems to achieve metrics, often requiring scrappy solutions to temporarily overcome technical limitations. The ability to scale will be critical to all processes.
Proactively identify and lead process improvement initiatives through quantitative analysis and data-driven decision making.
Ability to develop and share best practices across AMZL CO teams in other regions and Delivery Stations.
Ability to partner and influence multiple stakeholders, such as DSP teams, Operations, ACES and Finance.
About the team
AMZL handles 'last mile' delivery duties in partnership with third-party distribution businesses. We utilize creative thinking and continuous improvement initiatives to get millions of physical products into the hands of our customers.A degree in Business Administration, Finance, Computer Information Systems, Engineering, Operations Research, Mathematics or other business/analytical disciplines or equivalent.
Relevant experience as a Project/Program Manager.
Relevant experience of communicating with a wide range of stakeholders, including your peers and leadership.
Strong logical thinking, analytical skills and problem-solving skills.
Experience in using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements.
Advanced or master's degree in business, operations or related fields.
Experience using SQL.
Project-management qualification such as PRINCE2, APM, PMI, or similar.
Understanding of continuous improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma or Lean.
Experience working in an operational environment or with technical teams.
