Missions of the job You will be responsible for the daily management of the butyrates production site of Adisseo Nutricion Animal ("ANA") in Barbastro.
You provide the best conditions of safety (occupational safety & health and product safety), quality, sustainability and hygiene.
You try to obtain an optimal production planning by implementing the production and quality procedures to staff, providing the necessary assistance and means to the Shift leaders and operators of their functional unit in order to enable them to perform their duties correctly.
By doing so, you act as a real security advisor.
You participate in planned preventive activities and monitor and control the improvement actions to be carried out, arising from it.
You are part of the plant management team, reporting to the General Manager, working closely together with all stakeholders to ensure that ANA's production targets for your scope are met and that ANA meets its annual and strategic objectives as set out in the business plan.
Tasks and responsibilities Occupational safety and health responsibilities: To comply with and enforce compliance with the preventive objectives established for their department, based on the guidelines received from the External Prevention Service and the Management Integrate Health and Safety at Work aspects in work meetings with collaborators and in the department's procedures/instructions for action Periodically review the working conditions in their area of operation Be aware of the investigation of all accidents with injury that have occurred in your functional unit and take an interest in the solutions adopted to avoid repetition Participate in the development of work procedures for those critical tasks that are normally or occasionally performed in their functional unit (including supervision of subcontractors) Responsibilities for quality, product safety and the environment: Conduct and periodically update the environmental aspects assessment Collect the necessary data on hazardous and non-hazardous waste Supervise the execution of operational control activities for liquid discharges and atmospheric emissions Collect all information from resource consumption if required Recording incidents, managing and evaluating the results and archiving incidents and emergencies, and proceeding to the opening of non-conformity reports if necessary and their management Implement and verify corrective and preventive actions for which you are responsible Assess, together with the Quality Manager, compliance with legal and other regulatory requirements applicable to liquid discharges, atmospheric emissions, noise or feed quality and safety Meet and enforce compliance with the objectives established to ensure the quality and safety of the product manufactured, based on the legislation in force and the requirements implemented derived from the certification standards Integrate feed quality and feed safety aspects into work meetings, procedures, and instructions; and ensure compliance during the activity Periodically review compliance with established hygiene standards Assess, together with the quality manager, compliance with legal requirements on feed safety HACCP team member Member of the crisis and emergency management team Member of the feed defence and feed fraud prevention team Requirements for the job HARD SKILLS Minimum five years of experience in a similar position (production supervisor in a chemical or premix company) Knowledge of the production process, raw materials, final products is a must Knowledge of industrial equipment, its maintenance and safety implications Excellent communication skills in Spanish and English (orally and written) Knowledge of elementary chemical engineering operations: distillation, esterification, powder blending, spray drying, etc.
