Planning the production of a range of animal food products on one or more production lines, so that optimum utilization of production is obtained and the products are available on time.
An OpCo may have one or more production lines/sites. In the smaller OpCo's 1 or 2 planners take care of all planning activities. In the larger OpCo's a small group of planners may have the tasks specialised. Therefore, the job ranges from merely production planning of a single and rather simple production line, to planning several production lines together with external logistics.
Job Description: Checking the orders to plan for accuracy, etc.If applicable, verify inventory levels of finished product and establish an optimal balance between customer and stock orders.Arranging of the orders for production, taking into account specified delivery times, available machine capacity, changeover requirement, most efficient run sizes and sequences.Calculate the required amounts of raw materials and semi-finished products.Verifying stock positions commodities and identifying shortfalls in procurement.Compiling and releasing daily production orders, material issue vouchers and the like for the production department(s) and the raw materials warehouse.Monitor the planning and production (daily) consult with production management about (potential) disruptions and possible corrective actions.Consult with maintenance, engineering and product development with respect to time for (interim) maintenance, repair scheduling and trial productions.Adapt and implement changes in the planning, and discuss the consequences of possible planning alternatives with the superior, production and sales.Ensuring the functional application of the planning software.Specifying functionality needs and requirements, and in collaboration with IT ensure the implementation of the required changes.Tracking and processing changes in the data, such as customer specifications, product specifications, manufacturing standards, machine capacities, packing prescriptions, and the like.Our organisation: Trouw Nutrition is the global leader in innovative feed specialties, premixes and nutritional services for the animal nutrition industry.
