The business unit Recycling within Aluminium Metal operates seven recycling plants and a scrap sorting plant, and we are aiming for no less than industry leadership in aluminum recycling.
We are looking for a Production Manager to join our Recycling plant in Azuqueca, Guadalajara (Spain).
As a key member of the management team, the Production Manager leads and manages the production department of the Azuqueca plant, driving the development towards higher safety standards and increased quality and productivity in accordance with business goals.
ResponsibilitiesSafeguard and prioritize employees' safety above all and ensure a safe working environment.Ensure compliance with Prevention, Safety, and Environment regulations in the workplace, and have a preventive and vigilant attitude towards potential risks.Ensure that production processes are safe and executed according to procedures.Maintain the level of performance in the plant by auditing the processes.Ensure quality integrity of all products and maintain all quality controls of the production process.Organize and optimize production in a sustainable and collaborative way.Supervise the production process to ensure that products are produced according to quality, schedule, and cost.Achieve team development by implementing training, professional development, and job rotation programs.Manage relationships with other departments to ensure fast, flexible, and efficient operations.Coordinate, lead, and implement improvement projects.Manage the operations process to achieve continuous improvement objectives by using LEAN/Six Sigma tools.Coordinate activities with other areas or departments, such as maintenance or HSE, to ensure that their area of responsibility is functioning properly.Ensure compliance with legal requirements and licenses.Responsible for production reporting both internally in the plant and towards the organization.Promote and ensure a good working and collaborative environment.Troubleshoot unplanned or unforeseen tasks. Required CompetenceAt least 3 years of leadership experience in production/manufacturing.HSE mindset and dedication.Fluency in English and Spanish.Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or similar.Knowledge of aluminum production is a benefit.Excellent communication and teamwork skills.Resolute and able to identify the root cause of problems and look for alternative paths focusing on solutions.
