Position Overview As a Product System Development Engineer in MAHLE, you will be responsible for: Project E/E Development according to timing plan and assigned budget.
Coordinating the engineering domains: Requirements Management Hardware Software Mechanics Functional Safety Validation Industrialization Accomplishing prototypes and project milestones to ensure MAHLE PDP deliverables.
Design to Cost, Design for Manufacturing, and Design for Quality.
Key Responsibilities Technical and strategic coordination with the Product System Development Team Leader.
Complete technical management of new product development.
Application of lessons learned from previous projects in the company.
Management of technical resources at project level.
Main technical interface with the project customer and production plant.
Customer requirements analysis and negotiation with the System Requirements Engineer.
Coordination of development tasks with other technical domains of the company.
Technical development of the project according to budget and planning.
Close coordination with the Project Manager.
Risk and cost analysis with the Project Manager and Product Manager.
Planning and monitoring of different development cycles following MAHLE PDP.
Approval of the eBOM (Engineering Bill of Materials) for each development cycle.
Release Notes ownership.
Organization of technical reviews of the project involving other domains.
Design FMEA reviewer in conjunction with the quality department.
Definition of critical or safety characteristics of the product.
Management and resolution of problems at the technical level.
Willingness to travel and provide technical support on site.
Keeps Project Manager and Product System Development Team Leader informed about the progress of the project.
Required Skills Critical: Degree in Electronics / Telecommunication Engineering, Automation, Computer Science, Physics or similar.
Critical: English (C1).
Critical: Spanish (C1).
Desirable: German.
Desirable: French.
Critical: Technical background in electronics development (automotive electronics desirable).
Critical: Microsoft Office Package, including MS Planning, Gantt or similar.
Required: Altium Designer.
Required: MahCad or similar.
Required: Experience in electronics design: Hardware, e-Layout, Software, Mechanical, Validation, etc.
Required: Experience with laboratory instrumentation and test setups.
Required: Cross functional communication skills.
Desirable: Coordination of cross functional technical teams (5-10 people).
Desirable: Knowledge of electronics manufacturing processes.
Desirable: Matlab.
Desirable: LT Spice.
Desirable: Knowledge of Automotive SPICE processes.
Desirable: Knowledge of Functional Safety (ISO26262).
Desirable: Knowledge in Cybersecurity.
Required: Reporting experience to management.
Required: Previous experience in electronics development.
Desirable: Previous experience in direct contact with customers and suppliers.
