Job DescriptionSmart Charging Technologies LLC (SCT) is seeking an experienced Product Support / Applications Engineer to work as the interface between our engineering, sales, and customer support teams.
As a Product Support / Applications Engineer, you will be responsible for providing support to our sales team for all product inquiries, installations, and troubleshooting.
You will also support the sales team in promoting and demonstrating SCT's products to potential customers.
Additionally, you will work closely with the engineering team to acquire expert-level knowledge of SCT's products.Responsibilities and duties include:Acquire, maintain, and disseminate expert-level knowledge of the full SCT's hardware and software products portfolio, including current and legacy products and their applications.Act as the primary technical contact during the sales process and customer onboarding and respond promptly to technical questions submitted by customers and SCT's sales staff.Resolve customer-reported problems and identify root causes.Support product installations at customer sites either in person or virtually.Manage the Return Material Authorization (RMA) process to facilitate the service of SCT products and follow up with engineering for prioritization of current service cases.Coordinate the deployment of SCT's product demonstrations as required, working with the sales, engineering, and customer teams.Generate support documentation for installing and operating SCT products, including operations manuals, product data sheets, and instructional videos.Collaborate with the sales team to identify and understand customer needs and technical requirements and provide sales support.Prepare and deliver technical presentations that explain products to SCT's customers and/or prospective customers.Support the sales and marketing teams in promoting SCT products.
This includes required travel for attending expos, trade shows, and customer visits.Stay updated on industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies.Use market insights to recommend innovative solutions that give the company a competitive edge.Maintain up-to-date documentation of customer interactions and technical solutions.Skills and Abilities:Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service.Strong analytical skills for resolving complex technical issues.Strong ability to communicate intricate technical details effectively to both internal teams and customers.Strong interpersonal skills; strong team player with a customer satisfaction focus.Proficient in time management; the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.Able to use sound judgment and work independently, with minimal supervision.Excellent verbal and written English communication skills are required.Strong understanding of SCT's industry and products.Must be willing to travel by air, vehicle and/or other means of transportation as business requires and must have a valid driver's license.Education and Experience:Bachelor's degree in electrical or electronics engineering or related field.2+ years of experience in an engineering or technical role, particularly in product applications or systems engineering.Previous customer support experience.Benefits:Work/ Life BalanceCompetitive CompensationBenefits package including:Medical, Dental, and VisionPaid vacation time401(k) with Company matchCompany Description:Smart Charging Technologies LLC is a high-tech firm specializing in innovative IoT energy management products and services.
